Four kids make a mysterious discovery on their home planet that leads them to become stranded in a strange and dangerous galaxy. plus more stars from a galaxy far, far away.. The holographic circus that entertains Neel’s young siblings is a replica of Chewbacca’s family watch from the infamous The Star Wars Holiday Special (1978).. Featured AniMat’s Crazy Cartoon Cast: Silly Old Deadly Bear (2022) Watched the first two episodes and there’s a clear attempt to create a "Goonies in Space" show here, what’s wrong with that? This is a different take on a story set in the Star Wars universe. I enjoyed the look and feel of what a suburban town in this world would look like, since we haven’t actually seen it. The town they come from reminded me of the neighborhood from E.T., and then anything we’ve seen in shows recently. The 4 main characters are generic but likable, each with their own clearly defined roles within the group and are well-executed by the actors. The pirate vibe is definitely not something we’ve seen before and adds a bit of a spooky element and a dangerous atmosphere. If this was an 80s movie it would fit right in. So far I’ve been enjoying it for the new story elements in the Star Wars universe, the hints of nostalgia for the movies from my childhood and the fact that I can share this Star Wars experience with my kids.
