Spinning this way doesn’t push or pull air
Chronology
Men and women live in a giant underground silo with various regulations that they believe are there to protect them from the toxic, ruined world above. Whether they’re exploring the stars, escaping dystopias, or making the world a better place, these women are what sci-fi is all about. Season 1 covers the first 30 chapters of the book “Lana” – the book is 82 chapters long. The fans on the floor in several episodes spin in the wrong direction, relative to the orientation of the blades.
First, I love dystopian literature!
Featured on WatchMojo: Top 10 TV Shows of 2023 You Need to Binge Watch (2023) My first review! I read the Hughes trilogy years ago and thoroughly enjoyed the books. When I randomly scrolled through IMDB and found SILO, I was immediately intrigued. I can see somewhat mixed opinions and can relate to some of them, here’s my take on the first season.
It is not an adaptation in the sense that it follows the plot
The dystopian genre offers a unique psychological perspective on human nature in hypothetical scenarios. My fondness for the trilogy was solidified because Hughes managed to develop Orwellian ideas within a hypothetical relevance to the modern world. Imagining the development of the human psyche in dystopian scenarios is a challenging task. I think Hughes did a wonderful job, SILO captures most of these aspects in a refreshing way.
The acting is phenomenal for the more central characters
It is based on the books, but naturally has to adapt to the viewers in a fast-paced world. However, the series manages to capture the atmosphere of a society living in a silo. In contrast to the shallow storytelling of other shows, “SILO” has a wonderful combination of character development and atmospheric focus. The only issue I have with the show is the lack of atmospheric development.
Give it a try!
They spend a lot of screen time chasing and capturing Juliette. They lack atmospheric development of the silo as a society. Of course, it has to appeal to a receptive audience.
