Christian Slater is older than James Remar was when Dexter first appeared (2006). It’s followed by Dexter: Resurrection (2025).
Of course I loved it
I’ve watched the original Dexter series a few times, all seasons, I hate to admit it. I watched New Blood, and it’s fine. Like many other fans, I thought Freud’s ending was a bit of a letdown.
So far, this prequel is much better in my opinion
Maybe it’s the familiar characters, I like that they’re all back, and the show isn’t far from what we’ve come to expect in that regard. Down to Deb’s snark and Masuka’s signature laugh. No, I’m not giving away any spoilers to say that.

If you’re even reading this review, you’ve seen the trailers a few times and have this date on your calendar. For me, the show went the way it did. "One Hundred Years of Solitude" is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
